Warning: 2P!Hetalia, so expect blood and creepy talk.
You were a trade for mastermind Luciano Vargas. An evil man with odd colored eyes and a switchblade hobby for young women. When the law put him out of business with his partners in crime, he had no choice to yield to it or face prison. Since everyone is scared of him, no one dares to kill him. His new hobby of making a "contract", where he keeps a person for a week to be his servant, comes to you when you trade yourself for your little sister's place at Luciano's mansion. But Luciano feels something he never felt before. You are not just one of the girls that he's taken as a servant or killed before. Is this a sickness? Who is this mysterious man whose personality ranges from cold to killer? Will you live to find out?
"Vargas?" The nurse raised an eyebrow at your request. You nodded.
"Is he here?" You asked again.
"Yes." The nurse said. "But I don't think he's allowed to have visitors yet."
"Why?" You asked.
"But I have to give Mr. Vargas his picture!" Lizzie said from your side.
Two days ago, you ran from the mansion all the way to your house. Your parents and sister were overjoyed to have you home except you were a mess of tears and Luciano's blood. You stayed up with them telling them your whole story, from awful beginning to fairytale ending. Your parents soon grew to understand although they were still unsure about your love for Luciano. Lizzie, however, loved the idea of you dating Mr. Vargas and was at your side the whole time you told your love story. You slept until noon the next day and went to the mansion afterwards. The gate was locked and there wasn't a hint of life anywhere. You grew sick at the idea of Luciano dying but it wasn't too long after that did information leak about him being kept at the hospital for a bullet wound.
The next day, you went to the hospital to find him. Lizzie joined you to give Luciano a picture she drew.
The nurse looked down at your sister and her heart melted at the sight of the little blonde girl holding the picture. "Well…I guess…but he's sleeping so you can't wake him." The nurse said. As you walked towards where his room was, the nurse grabbed your shoulder. "I don't know what you want with that monster but for the sake of the little girl, I will not tell her that Mr. Vargas is in a coma."
Your stomach dropped to the floor. "Thank you." You whispered.
"He's breathing on his own but we can't get him to wake up." The nurse said. "It's actually a miracle he's alive. It's no mystery that the paramedics tended to him last because of his background but they thought he would be dead by the time they got to him. Something kept him alive and only God knows what and why."
You nodded and you followed Lizzie to Luciano's room. Your heart fluttered when you saw his room number but they didn't put his name on the door. Probably because of the mob and people that might still be angry. You opened the door slowly and Lizzie darted out to see Luciano.
There he was.
Sleeping peacefully. His body was relaxed and he was wearing a hospital gown. His face was a little pale but not deathly so. You took a seat next to him as Lizzie folded up the picture and put it in one of his hands. Lizzie came over to you and jumped into your lap. "Is he going to wake up soon?" She asked.
Your stomach dropped again. "The nurse said he's tired and he needs his rest. Don't wake him up."
"He was very nice to me when I stayed with him." Lizzie said.
"Really? What did he do?" You asked.
"We played games and he showed me his castle." Lizzie said.
"Liz, it's a mansion, not a castle." You said.
"We pretended. We pretended that it was a castle and I was a princess." Lizzie said.
Both of you shared a silent moment.
"You looked pretty in that dress." Lizzie said.
"Thank you, Lizzie. I want to wash it so I can keep it." You said. What else were you going to say? It was awkward sitting in the hospital room of your lover that you weren't sure was going to wake up with your little sister that thought he would.
"You should kiss him awake." Lizzie chirped.
"Liz, that's for princes to do to princesses." You said.
"No it's not!" Liz complained. "It's a true love's kiss and you are Mr. Vargas' true love so you have to kiss him!"
You smiled at Liz. It killed you on the inside to know that Luciano would probably not wake up for a long time, if not forever. You almost wanted to tell Lizzie that but you were sure it would break her little heart.
"Fine, I'll try. The nurse said he needed his rest so if he doesn't wake up, it's not the kiss, ok?"
Lizzie jumped off your lap so you could go to Luciano. You sat at the edge of his bed.
"He'll wake up." Lizzie nodded.
You leaned down slowly and kissed Luciano on his slightly dry lips. Please wake up, you thought. You hovered over his face for a moment before straightening up. "See Liz? He's tired and needs to sleep-"
You jumped when you heard a small grumble. Lizzie ran over to you and jumped onto the bed besides you. Luciano began to stir in his sleep.
At that moment, the nurse walked in, only to run out again when she saw Luciano waking up.
Luciano opened up his eyes and blinked a few times through heavy eyelids. "…moonflower?" He whispered.
"I'm here." You said.
Luciano gave a soft laugh and a smile to you. You leaned down and kissed his lips once again, feeling like you caught fire from the energy running through you. He was awake! He was alive!
Luciano parted from the kiss and looked around. "Where am I?"
"The local hospital." You said.
Luciano looked around the room and his eyes fell on your little sister. "Ah and there's the princess." He said. Lizzie giggled. Luciano looked in his hand. "What's this?"
"A picture for you!" Lizzie said.
Luciano opened up the folded paper and smiled at it. It was a picture of him and you with crowns on your heads, the title "prince and princess" over your heads. "Thank you, Elizabeth." Luciano said.
"Sir." Someone said from the doorway. It was Luzifer.
"Hello there, Luzifer. What's the news?" Luciano asked.
Luzifer took the seat that you had before you got on Luciano's hospital bed. "The FBI is here to question those who were involved."
Luciano nodded and reached out to take your hand. "They're going to want to talk to you. Please don't lie to them on my behalf or on the behalf of anyone else."
You nodded.
"Where's Chiku?" Luciano asked Luzifer.
"They haven't found his body yet." Luzifer said. "He was probably taken away on an ambulance but I was too occupied to remember."
'How long have I been here?" Luciano asked.
"Two days if you count today, sir." Luzifer said.
Luciano nodded and then tried to sit up. You crawled over to him and helped him up, propping his back against some pillows.
"What have you been doing for the past two days?" Luciano asked you.
"Resting." You said. "I only woke up for meals yesterday and this morning I heard where you were so I took my little sister to see you."
"That's good. That's good. You're getting sleep." Luciano said.
"How do you feel?" You asked Luciano.
"Like I've been drugged to the gills but that's probably not far off." Luciano sighed.
"Good. Maybe we can get some truth out of you." Someone said.
You all turned to the door to see three FBI agents standing there.
"Richard! My old friend!" Luciano chuckled darkly. "How nice to see you in person this time."
"I could say the same to you." The oldest of the agents said. "We are placing you under arrest for manslaughter and-"
"Hold it!" You said. "What do you mean, under arrest?"
"Well, seeing as his little team is split up now, this is a prime opportunity to put the most wanted man in the world under arrest." The agent said.
"No!" Lizzie cried out. "Please don't put Mr. Vargas in jail! He saved my sister's life!"
"Look, let him get better, ok?" You begged. "Then we can do whatever you need us to do. Please, sir."
Richard raised an eyebrow. "What did you do to these two young ladies, Vargas?"
Luciano chuckled and put and an arm around you. "Adored one and fell in love with the other, I suppose."
Richard shook his head and looked at you. "Well, while we're here, let's get the stories from your view, ok?"
…
The interview lasted a long time but at least you had some of your own questions answered. Arthur, as for the moment, was treated like a hero from his peers but many people didn't agree. It wasn't until the FBI got your story as Arthur's ex-lover (boy, that sounded great ¬– EX-lover) did they confirm that Arthur was not on the side that everyone thought he was on. They would probably place him under arrest for the violence that he created as well as the fact that he invaded Luciano's property.
Chiku was still missing. They were able to trace his blood from when he collapsed but his body was not found. No hospital or morgue had the body of the Japanese man.
Alfred and Gilbert were doing well. They got away with little damage, Alfred more because of his fall down the stairs.
Once you were done talking to the FBI agents, you went back to Luciano's hospital room. You brought your sister home and told your parents you'd be back. Returning to the hospital, you stayed for an early dinner with Luciano, your true love.
…
Once Luciano was able to stand on his own two feet, he was brought to court along with Arthur and Luzifer. The court ruled, that since all manslaughter was forgiven through Luciano's kidnap contracts, this one was no different. The only charges were against Arthur for violence and Luciano, in return, did not press charges against anyone.
All was mended. Arthur refused to show his face for the rest of the school year, only showing up in class and seemingly disappearing during lunch and in between classes. Once summer hit, Arthur returned to England. You heard from someone at your school that he was very happy with a new girlfriend of his.
Alfred and Gilbert were hailed as heroes for protecting you during Halloween night, when everyone attacked. Alfred was very proud of that fact.
Little by little, your family grew to accept the fact that you loved Luciano and your family were constant visitors of Luciano's mansion, as he grew better. Luciano grew to accept the outside world more and more each day and soon you were going out on regular dates instead of staying at the mansion.
Speaking of the mansion, Luciano decided that a little change was good for his life. He opened up the ballroom for events like weddings. Even though he stayed mostly hidden away in his office or one of the many sitting rooms when people were over using the ballroom, he enjoyed the commotion and new sounds that were created. Every Halloween, Luciano hosted the "Halloween Bloody Ball", mostly in your honor. It was the only time a lot of people actually saw his face, even though it was hidden behind a black eye mask.
Your mother was able to find a girlfriend for Luzifer (much to everyone's surprise). She was from New York, a college roommate of your mother and never heard of the "Second Black Plague", thank God. Luzifer cared for her as much as she cared for him and she visited the mansion along with your family many times.
Flavio, Luciano's cousin, visited once and found lots of joy in your little sister wanting to be a princess. Every other day, your family was getting a new princess dress from the fashionable Italian, much to the delight of your little sister, who wore them around Luciano's castle while Luciano played along as a handsome prince and Luzifer assumed the role of the mean dragon.
And you? Well, you were as happy as can be with Luciano. After Lizzie's playtime was over, the prince always returned to you, his arms hugging you, as warm and protective as the first time you let him hold you. You graduated high school and as a gift for college, Luciano bought you a new car for when you went back and forth to your college classes. You chose to go to a college near your hometown for your dream career. Sometimes, you'd get home late from classes; you didn't want to wake your family up when you went home. So instead, you went to the mansion to stay the night. Luciano was always there, sitting next to a warm fire in the living room, waiting for you with a place to stay and a kiss.
So, in short, the monster turned into a prince and fell in love with the beautiful princess.
And they lived happily ever after.
